Alice’s Plant Based Overnight Protein Oats - The Ultimate Busy Girl Hack

Overnight oats are the ultimate busy girl hack to a nutritious breakfast that will keep you fuelled for hours - say goodbye to that mid-morning slump! Full of gut loving fibre, energy giving protein and hormone healthy fats, you’ll set yourself up for an unstoppable day. And the best part is - you can prep them in minutes the evening before!

Make a carrot cake version of these overnight oats by using vanilla protein, grated carrot and cinnamon!

Ingredients for 1 portion:

  • 30g oats

  • 15g raisins and/or raspberries

  • ½ banana

  • 30g protein powder of your choice

  • 10g pure peanut butter

  • 1 tbsp chia seeds

  • 150ml plant milk (I use soy)

  • Flavours of your choice (e.g. cinnamon, maple syrup, honey)

Method:

Slice the banana and then add all the ingredients to a pot or jar with a lid (use foil if you don’t have a lid). Add more plant milk if required. Mix everything up well with a spoon, cover and leave in the fridge for the next day!

Protein Powder

If you're using unflavoured protein, add some flavour such as cinnamon and a tsp of maple syrup. If you’re using flavoured protein powder then you probably won’t want to add this as it should flavour it enough! I use soy isolate protein powder.

Toppings

Feel free to top with the rest of the banana or some berries. Make this recipe your own!

Enjoy!
