What is Heart Rate Variability?

HRV is the beat to beat variance in your heart rate. A low HRV, caused by an imbalanced nervous system, manifests in digestive issues, weight gain, brain fog, anxiety, fatigue, appetite dysregulation, poor sleep and heart conditions. At In Wellness, we use your personal HRV data, plus the information you provide in our sessions, to create the optimal lifestyle plan for you to Move, Nourish, Rest and Reset to align your nervous system and treat your symptoms from the root cause.

Over a 3 day period we will measure your heart rate variability as you go about your daily routine and determine:

  • The balance within your nervous system (are you in ‘Fight or Flight’ dominance?)

  • The behaviours that cause you physiological stress

  • The behaviours that are helping you to recover

  • Whether the exercise you’re doing is helping or exaggerating your symptoms

  • The true quality of your sleep at all stages of the night
